questions!
April 26, 2010
For all you old, experienced, college students/grads out there, what are the things that you would recommend bringing to college (i.e. for dorms)? And what would advise to not bring?
Thanks <3 :)
Thanks <3 :)

hiTEMPO: Bathrobe!
I read this somewhere on lovelyish, I believe, and think it's a great idea.
a lot less trouble than a falling off towel ^^
WithaFevertoTell:
only bring clothes that are season appropriate. like no winter clothes at the beginning of the year. you will lose valuable closet space.
writinghands: bring only necessities. You might be sharing a room with someone so you don't want to bring your whole wardrobe with you or like half of everything you own to college because you won't have the room.
X_LuvMeNot_X: Everyone gets so stressed about it, but seriously, anything that you don't use in an average day isn't necessary. I brought so many things that I thought I might need, and they just took up space. but don't forget your umbrella!
sorority_girl86: you don't need the 123453342509 million personal items and pictures and stuff your friends gave you. pick a few. if you want more, you can always bring them from home. but packing up all that stuff is such a bitch!
check out your room dimensions before you move in (most colleges have them on a website or you can call and ask). plan accordingly. see what your roommate is bringing.

I packed a lot into bins I could store under my bed. Lots of blankets [my roommates have it cold in here 24/7]... pillows, sheets, maybe one of those foam things to go onto of mattresses [uncomfortable as fuck], my XBox, pushpins for wall stuff, posters [too white]... that stuff.

leave the high school year book.. it gets old immediately! lol. have a great time in school!!! you will LOVE IT
vintagexkiss_quotes: rain boots if it rains a lot. a rolling laundry bag (so helpful!). from what everyone else has already said, these are the two most important! :)
snuffles_is_padfoot: milk crates or some kind of storage that will slide under the bed is a must.
