why i feel guilty:
August 21, 2010
-i procrastinated through high school and ended up not actually learning anything. i feel guilty because i didn't take advantage of the opportunities that i am so lucky to have.
-i complain about little things that i shouldn't be bothered about. i feel guilty because it feels like i am being ungrateful for all the things that i am lucky enough to have.
-my parents call me everyday and i usually don't pick up because i'm doing something or another at orientation. i feel guilty because i know that they're worried about me.
why do you feel guilty?

zamudiojess: I can completely relate to feelings of guilt. Its just that terrible sinking feeling in your gut, that tension in your neck. It's aweful. You just have to learn to let things go and live without regrets.

i feel that if you're feeling bad about those things, you don't even need to feel guilty >.> i don't think most people achknowledge how much they have in the first place.
love the post, especially the trespassing picture. i'd trespass just to meet whoever put up that sign.

Sweetheart, you really needn't be guilty. The things you listed aren't all that bad. Here let me break it down:
1) Like you said, it was a flippant remark and from my understanding, most flippant remarks are made my douchebags. So don't worry about the "sexual tension" crap he was saying. Unless you were ACTUALLY, PURPOSELY doing it with the other guy, I say you're safe and are still a great GF.
2) I think a lot of us feel that way, thinking we learned nothing in high school cause of whatever factors. But my teacher once told me, "You know more than you think you do." And it's true. You'll be able to pull up the information once you need it. Trust me. And if you don't, who cares? You'll learn it again. You are more knowledgeable than you give yourself credit for.
3) You know what? Griping a bit is normal. Nobody has a perfect life and they have the right to complain a bit. Even if it's petty and insignificant. The important thing is that you still know that there's plenty of things that you've got going for you. And you've already acknowledged that. Keep it up! :)
4) Like you said, you were busy with something. It wasn't like you were doing nothing and purposely ignoring their phone calls. They'll understand that this week is going to be crazy for you (it IS orientation week, after all) and won't press. Just make sure when you're less busy, say on the weekend, go phone them and let them know you're okay.
But of course, even if I say all this, you'll probably still feel guilty. It's normal. Happens to the best of us. :)
As for my own guilts, well, I have a lot. More like regrets. But that's a story for another day :)

@zamudiojess -
yeah but doing so is difficult -__- it's okay, though, we can all work towards it together :)@thexCITYxsplit -
thank you <3. and i knowwww! isn't that the most amazing sign ever?!?@happyface_char -
thank you, thank you for your reply. and with these kinds of things, i know logically that what you say makes sense, but guilt is still hard to get rid of, you know :\? and i think it's important for us to let go of our guilt/regret so that we can completely move on with our lives. sooo hopefully we'll be able to do that at some point XDDD.x__Bandaid: <3 x
killuhiconsx: parents are paying so so much for my college and dorm and i am not studying hard enough and i just keep fucking around.
writinghands: I have a lot of guilt but I also have a great number of regrets. I did not take advantage of all the experiences I could have had in college because I was too shy to take a chance. Don't make that mistake. Take as many chances as you can and enjoy every moment. Make as many friends as possible and do as much as you can. Don't waste a moment it goes by so fast.
juliet_loves_the_beat: Honey, everybody's got something to feel guilty about - You wouldn't be human if you didn't. It's just part of life. It's hard, but you learn to live with it and not let your regrets control you. Personally? I'm guilty because I couldn't prevent the suicide of someone very close to me. It's hard to even type, but that's part of letting go, you know? Well, I tend to get carried away when I'm trying to make people feel better, so I'll stop now before I waste any more of your time. I just can't help myself sometimes. Anyway, once again, I love the post. And I hope you do feel better about it all. :)
slowdown_sugar: so cute :)
